rhythm & Brunch

Rhythm & Brunch SD is a whole day party experience playing your favorite throwbacks and new releases, thrown for the people...by the people. The blueprint for this event was established in 2016, after brunching in the South, HBCU style. Through strategic planning, networking, ripped out pages in notebooks and a couple failed attempts- Rhythm & Brunch made its debut on August 25th, 2019. 

 

We had great success at our Gaslamp location until the Covid-19 Pandemic hit and completely shut down day and nightlife events for almost a year and a half. Throughout Covid, it gave us time to go back to the Rhythm&Brunch drawing board with a purpose to bring our community together through music and great food provided by local vendors in San Diego. 

 

In February of 2021, Rhythm&Brunch came back on the scene. Added 2 new house DJ's and a Chef to the picture in order to bring home the San Diego feels that this Brunch thrives on. DJ Oli-Tay made his switch over from the iPod and the house parties, to the 1's and 2's. World renowned DJ Dauche', returned to her R&B roots and blessed the turntables. Chef My'Jeal turns the kitchen out every single time, whether it's his : famous Chicken & Waffles, Mini Tacos, Shrimp & Grits, or Wings & Fries we can count on him to deliver. All 3 of these key players are Southeast Legends in their own respect, and have contributed to the magic that is Rhythm&Brunch SD. Ultimately, the makeup of RNBSD is a vibe for young adults from all over the world, and overall enjoyers of great music that soothes the soul.
